Known for form, function, and reliability, Honda has been a name associated with stylish family haulers and safe commuters for decades. The award-winning Honda SUV lineup is getting an update this year with a refresh for both the 2019 Honda Pilot and Honda HR-V, both of which will boast cool new styling cues, new tech, and updated safety systems.

What’s New

Both the Pilot and the HR-V have gotten significant makeovers, with Apple CarPlay ™ and Android Auto ™ integration as well as the expanded availability of the HondaSensing ® suite of safety features. The Display Audio systems in the cabins of the Pilot and HR-V will also be new.

2019 Pilot

Honda Sensing ® will be standard on all trims of this eight-passenger SUV, making it one of the most family-friendly options in its segment. The Pilot also boasts aggressive restyling, as well as a number of new available features like a Rear-Seating Entertainment System, hands-free power tailgate, and the CabinTalk ™ rear-seat camera.

2019 HR-V

As of 2019, the addition of Honda Sensing ® as standard equipment on the HR-V’s upper trim levels means the entire Honda SUV lineup is now equipped with the cutting-edge safety tech. Other new features include upgrades to the HR-V’s standard CVT, a more slick and confident exterior design, and sound-deadening acoustics.

Now in its third generation, the all-new 2019 Honda Insight is back and looking better than ever.

Since its unveiling as a prototype at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the new Insight has been on the minds of many green car enthusiasts. Now, the innovative vehicle is nearly ready to go on sale at dealerships and there’s even more to be excited about.

With a starting MSRP of less than $23,000, the 2019 Insight is an affordable option for those wanting to make an impact on their carbon footprint.1 The sophisticated midsize sedan gets an EPA-estimated 55 mpg in the city and offers ample passenger and cargo room, an expansive list of premium standard features, and peppy performance.2

“The Honda Insight shows consumers that the efficiency of a hybrid car doesn’t mean sacrificing style, refinement or performance,” said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The Insight is another symbol of a new era in the evolution of Honda electrified vehicles, where customers can have everything they want with no compromises.”

The 2019 Honda Insight is slated to debut at dealerships in late summer 2018, so keep your eyes peeled to see if we get this impressive new vehicle on the Visalia Honda lot!

Why Small Cars are a Smart Buy

2018 Honda Fit Interior | Visalia Honda | Visalia, CA

For decades, the Honda Civic has been one of the go-to compact cars. It remains a reliable, zippy, and efficient choice for drivers. It’s just one of a few small cars available from Honda. Small cars are a great choice for a wide range of lifestyles, and here is why.

Fuel Efficient

It’s no surprise that a compact car is going to use much less gas than a big SUV or truck. If cutting back on gas is your priority, a small car is the way to go.

Generally speaking, small cars have lower starting prices than mid-size or full-size sedans. They’re great starters for new drivers or smart choices for recent graduates.

Surprisingly Spacious

You might expect passengers to be cramped and cargo room to be nonexistent, but today’s small cars are finding ways to make the most space in the interior while still maintaining a compact size. For instance, both the 2018 Honda Civic and the 2018 Honda Fit feature 60/40 split rear seats to accommodate cargo when needed.

Fun to Drive

A compact car often goes hand in hand with a peppy driving experience. Their smaller size makes then nimble performers, so you can expect an enjoyable ride. And when it’s time to park, you’ll have no trouble squeezing into a tight parking space.
